For all of us here at Hexahedron Studios, music is a supremely important element to expressing the atmosphere and tone of a world.  This tool of expression was a vital one for Isaac Muir to use in helping guide the team in the direction he envisioned the world to go in its development in early development.  Being a musician himself, Muir would begin composing his own score and soundtrack to the world of Colony as a way to reinforce his vision.  Aided along the way by other musicians in the development team, namely Nash Calvert, Bennett Salter, and project guest Antonio Cruz, they would work on this soundtrack for around a year and a half before feeling it was ready for release.
